Description

1. Overview This major category includes industrial activities that perform passenger and freight transportation using various transportation facilities, warehousing, and other transportation-related services. A. Transportation Business This refers to industrial activities that transport passengers and freight via railway, road, pipeline, sea, and air, regardless of whether the transportation is route-based or regular.

B. Transportation-Related Services This refers to industrial activities that perform cargo handling, warehousing, terminal facility operation, freight forwarding, and other transportation-related services that support or assist passenger and freight transportation businesses. Businesses involved in cargo handling and freight forwarding may auxiliaryly own transportation facilities used for the exchange of goods between customers and transportation companies, but they do not perform the entire transportation activity requested by the customer.
