History
First issued in 1958 and revised roughly every five years, SSIC adapts the UN’s ISIC to Singapore’s economy. The 2025 edition is based on ISIC Revision 5, with some divisions merged or renumbered for local relevance.
Usage & importance
Used by ACRA for company registration and by the Department of Statistics across surveys and the census. Renumbered against ISIC, so conversions here rely on verified structural and title evidence.
