What 03.2 includes

• This group includes aquaculture, that is, the production process involving the cultivation of aquatic organisms (fish, crustaceans, mollusks, aquatic plants, alligators, and amphibians), using techniques that intensify the productivity of the organisms raised beyond their natural development capacity (for example: adequate feeding, health of the rearing environment and the organisms raised, protection against predators, etc.). Cultivation consists of raising the aquatic animal or plant from the initial phase of its life cycle to its juvenile or adult phase, under the conditions required by each organism until it possesses the characteristics demanded in the market. Aquaculture organisms are privately owned, individually, corporately, or state-owned, unlike fishing (group 03.1), where the captured aquatic resources are public domain.
