Description
This refers to industrial activities involving the mining of metallic minerals containing iron and non-iron metals (non-ferrous metals). Generally, various metallic mineral concentration activities performed within a scope that does not alter the basic chemical structure—such as crushing, grinding, separation by magnetism and gravity, screening, sieving, flotation, powder aggregation (granular, spherical, cylindrical, etc.), drying, roasting, and calcination for magnetization or oxidation—which are incidental to metallic mineral mining activities, are included here regardless of whether they are combined with mining activities. Uranium and thorium mining activities are also included.
