Description
1. Overview Mining refers to industrial activities involving the extraction, collection, and extraction of natural minerals in solid, liquid, and gaseous states from underground, the surface, the seabed, etc. Business entities engaged in such mining activities may directly carry out exploration, development, and trial drilling activities for the extraction and collection of minerals; they may also perform grinding and crushing activities typically associated with mining, as well as beneficiation and sorting activities such as sieving, screening, flotation, and melting, and operations such as finishing and quality improvement. Concentration and beneficiation activities of various minerals on a fee or contract are classified here regardless of whether they are performed in conjunction with mining activities, and mining is classified according to the types of major minerals produced. Furthermore, it includes activities providing mining support services accompanying mineral extraction, collection, and extraction, such as mineral drilling and test drilling, well equipment installation activities, mine drainage activities, and mineral exploration activities for mining purposes, on a fee or contract.
