What 390 includes

• This group includes the decontamination of soils and groundwater at the site of pollution, either in situ or ex situ, using mechanical, chemical, or biological methods. It also covers the decontamination of industrial plants or sites, including nuclear facilities, and the cleanup of surface water following accidental pollution, such as through pollutant collection or chemical application. Activities also include the cleaning up of oil spills and other forms of pollution on land, in surface waters, oceans, and coastal areas; abatement of asbestos, lead paint, and other toxic materials; landmine clearing, including on-site detonation; and other specialized pollution-control activities. Additionally, this class encompasses carbon capture and storage operations, remediation of mining sites, and services related to site remediation containment, control, and monitoring.
