What 71.20.C includes

• Performing physical, chemical, and other analytical tests of all types of materials and products, for example: • acoustic and vibration tests, • testing of mineral composition and purity, • testing of physical properties and performance of materials, such as strength, thickness, durability, radioactivity, • testing of compliance with requirements and reliability, • testing of the performance of complete machines: engines, automobiles, electronic equipment, and the like, • radiographic testing of welds and joints, • error and failure analysis, • testing and measurement of environmental indicators: air and water pollution, and the like, • fuel quality testing,
• Certification of products, including motor vehicles, aircraft, pressure vessels, nuclear power plants, and the like (excluding consumer goods),
• Issuing certificates for motor vehicles, ships, aircraft, pressure vessels, nuclear power plants, and the like,
• Issuing energy certificates for buildings or parts of buildings,
• Conducting periodic technical inspections of motor vehicles,
• Conducting tests using models or mock-ups (e.g., aircraft, ships, dams),
• Operating police or forensic laboratories,
• Activities related to the investigation of product origin and assessment of its quality (excluding food),

• Consultancy activities performed by businesses or professionals for the purpose of obtaining an attestation/certificate, classified in 70.20.Z,
• DNA sequencing for general research on biological processes, classified in 72.10.Z,
• Testing of animal samples for sanitary purposes not related to food production, classified in 75.00.Z,
• Activities related to diagnostic imaging, medical, and dental research, classified in the appropriate subclasses of division 86,
• DNA sequencing for the purpose of ruling out or confirming a specific disease, classified in 86.91.B.
