What 77.400 includes

• The activity of allowing others to use intellectual property and similar products for which a royalty or license fee is paid to the owner of the product (i.e. the holder of the asset). Leasing these products can take various forms, such as permission to reproduce, use in subsequent processes or products, operating a business under a franchise agreement, etc. The current owners may or may not have created these products.
• Leasing of intellectual property (except copyrighted works such as books or software)
• Collection of royalties or licensing fees for the use of: • patented works • trademarks or service marks • trade name • mineral exploration and evaluation rights • franchise agreement • internet domains • rights to the design or layout of board games
• Collection of royalties or licensing fees for scientific research results
