What 77.40.B includes

• This subclass includes activities related to the leasing of intellectual property and similar products, for which royalties or license fees are collected for the owner. Leasing of these products may involve, for example, permission to reproduce, use in subsequent processes or products, or authorized distribution licenses (franchises). The lessor may or may not be the creator of these products.
• Leasing of intellectual property, excluding copyrighted works (e.g., books or computer software),
• Royalties or license fees paid for the right to use:
• Patent rights,
• Trademarks or service marks and brand names,
• Rights to mineral exploration and evaluation,
• Franchises,
• Rights to designed or created board games,
• Royalties or license fees paid for the right to use scientific research results.
