• Firefighting
• Administration and operation of professional and volunteer fire brigades for fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue of people and animals, assistance in natural disasters, floods, traffic accidents, etc., including fire fighting for companies within the framework of a contract or for a fee
• Beach guard activities, i.e. lifeguards
• Activities related to rescue operations on open water and on mountains
• Services relating to the administration and operation of professional and volunteer fire brigades financed from public funds and operating for the extinguishing and prevention of fires (except in the military, oil and gas fields, forestry and at airports)
