What 28 includes

• This division encompasses the manufacture of machinery and equipment that act upon materials independently, mechanically or through heat, or perform operations on materials (e.g., machining, injection molding, weighing, or packaging), including their mechanical components that generate and apply force, as well as all specially manufactured parts. This includes the manufacture of stationary, mobile, or hand-held devices, regardless of whether they are intended for industrial, construction, agricultural, or household use. The manufacture of specialized equipment for the limited transport of persons or goods also falls under this division.
• This division distinguishes between specialized machinery for specific individual or a small group of economic sectors and the manufacture of non-sector-specific machinery used in a variety of economic sectors.
• This division also includes the manufacture of other special-purpose machinery, not covered elsewhere in the classification, regardless of whether they are used in a production process or not (e.g., amusement Park rides, equipment for automatic bowling alley equipment).
