Where 33 sits

This division covers the professional repair of manufactured goods to restore the functionality of these machines, equipment, and other products. It also includes the provision of general or periodic maintenance (i.e., servicing) on such products, intended to ensure optimal function and prevent operational disruptions and unnecessary repairs.
This division includes only professional repair and maintenance activities. A significant proportion of repairs are carried out by the manufacturers of the machines, equipment, and other goods. In such cases, the classification of the entities involved in these repair and maintenance activities is based on the value-added principle, which often assigns these combined activities to the manufacturer of the goods. The same applies to the combination of trade and repair.
The conversion or overhaul of machines or equipment is considered a manufacturing activity and is included in other classes of this section.
Furthermore, it is recognized in this division is the specialised Installation of machinery.
