• This department encompasses the activities of acute and long-term care hospitals, general and specialized clinics, surgical hospitals, preventive medicine facilities, sanatoriums and nursing homes, psychiatric facilities, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare facilities that offer accommodation and are involved in the diagnosis and medical treatment of patients with a wide range of medical therapies.
• The department also includes consultation and treatment activities of general practitioners, specialists, and surgeons. General and specialized dental, oral, and maxillofacial treatment and orthodontics are also included.
• Furthermore, this department encompasses medical, curative, rehabilitative, or preventive activities that are not performed in hospitals or by physicians or psychological psychotherapists, but rather by other healthcare professionals.
