What 19 includes

• This division includes the processing of coal in independent coking plants, petroleum refining, the production of alcohol for any purpose, the production of biodiesel from the transesterification of vegetable oils or animal fats, and the production of other biofuels.
• The refining activity includes the processing of crude oil to obtain products such as fuels (gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene), paraffin, asphalt, naphtha, etc.
• Alcohol manufacturing is included in this category, considering its primary use as fuel and that it constitutes one of the most important energy alternatives in the country.
• This division also includes the manufacture of products from bituminous minerals, the manufacture of petroleum products produced outside refineries, the formulation of liquid fuels from the mixture of hydrocarbon streams, and the re-refining of used lubricating oils.
