What 06 includes

• This division includes the extraction of oil and natural gas, as well as the extraction of shale and tar sands.
• This division also includes the preparation and operation activities of oil and gas fields, such as: directed drilling and re-drilling, initial drilling, repair and dismantling of drilling rigs, cementing of well pipes, and all oil and gas preparation activities carried out on-site by well operators until the time of shipment out of the oil field.

What 06 excludes

• This division does not include support services required for drilling and field operations carried out under contract (section B - division 09) and mine excavation activity when not carried out by the mining company (section F - division 43).
