What 061 includes

• This group includes extraction of crude petroleum oils, extraction of bituminous or oil shale and tar sand, production of crude petroleum from bituminous shale and sand, processes to obtain crude oils e.g.: decantation, desalting, dehydration, stabilisation.

What 061 excludes

• This group excludes support activities for oil and natural gas extraction (see class 0910) . Oil and gas exploration are also excluded and falls under the same class 0910. The manufacture of refined petroleum products, as well as the recovery of liquefied petroleum gases during petroleum refining (see class 1920) . The operation of pipelines is covered under class 4930, while the extraction of condensates or natural gas liquids (see class 0620) .
