What 43 includes
- This division encompasses the execution of parts of buildings or infrastructure works, such as: preparing the land for construction, installing materials and equipment necessary for the operation of the property, and finishing works.
- In general, the units classified in this division specialize in a specific type of service for civil construction, common to different types of structures and requiring the use of special techniques and equipment for its execution. Examples include: foundations, concrete pouring, application of any material to walls and floors, scaffolding installation, roof construction, etc.
- This division also includes the construction of steel structures, whenever this activity is not carried out by the manufacturer of the metal parts of the structure (beams, columns, slabs, etc.). Specialized services for civil construction are generally carried out through subcontracting by the company responsible for the construction, and in the case of renovation works, these services are usually performed directly for the owner.
- This division also includes building installation works that enable the functioning and operation of the building. These activities are usually carried out concurrently with the construction phase, although some parts of these services may be completed within a pre-fixed period. These activities include plumbing installations, heating and air conditioning systems, antennas, alarm systems and other electrical installations, automatic irrigation systems, elevators and escalators, etc. Also included are thermal and acoustic treatment services, masonry, commercial refrigeration, the installation of lighting and traffic signaling systems, and lighting for highways, railways, airports, ports, etc.
