What 01 includes

• This division includes: - plant cultivation and breeding, - animal husbandry and production of animal products, - soilless cultivation of plants using methods such as hydroponics and aquaponics, - service activities related to agriculture and hunting, animal husbandry, and related activities.
• Mixed activities (group 01.5) include agricultural holdings engaged in both crop and animal production on a balanced scale. This group was created to avoid the classification of mixed farms into different groupings. In agriculture, one common situation where the allocation of value added poses difficulties is when an economic entity produces products from agricultural products grown on its own land. An example is an economic entity growing grapes and simultaneously producing wine from the grapes it grows. In such cases, the most appropriate auxiliary indicator is the number of hours worked, and applying it to this type of vertical integration generally leads to the classification of such economic entities in agriculture. In accordance with the above principle, businesses engaged in the cultivation and production of other agricultural products should also be classified.

• Processing of agricultural products (relevant subclasses of division 10 "Manufacture of food products", division 11 "Manufacture of beverages", and division 12 "Manufacture of tobacco products"), excluding their preparation for the primary market, which is classified in this division,
• Earthworks carried out on fields, for example, contour plowing of agricultural land (to create terraces), drainage, preparation of fields for paddy rice cultivation, and the like, classified in the relevant subclasses of section F "Construction",
• Trade in agricultural products classified in the relevant subclasses of section G "Wholesale and retail trade",
• Landscaping of green areas, classified in 81.30.Z.
