What 24 includes

• This division includes: - the smelting and/or purification of ferrous and non-ferrous metals from ore, pig iron, metal waste, or scrap, using electrometallurgical processes and other metallurgical techniques, - the production of metal alloys and superalloys by adding chemical elements to pure metals. The product resulting from smelting and purification, usually in the form of ingots, is subjected to rolling, drawing, and extrusion operations to obtain, for example, sheets, plates, strips, bars, rods, wires or tubes, pipes, hollow divisions, and other basic metal products. In liquid form, it is intended for the production of castings.
