What 13.100 includes

• Preparation and production of yarn from textile fibres. This can be done from various raw materials, either new or recycled textile materials, e.g. natural silk, cotton, wool, vegetable or man-made fibres, paper, cellulose-based fibres (wood, straw).
• Preparation of textile fibres: • uncoiling and washing of natural silk • degreasing and carbonization of wool and dyeing of wool fleece • carding and combing of all types of animal, vegetable or man-made fibres
• Production of yarn or thread for weaving or sewing, for trade or further processing
• Flax sieving
• Texturing, twisting, single twisting, twisting and dipping of synthetic or regenerated filament yarns
• Spinning of recycled fibers from recycled raw materials
• Production of paper yarn

• Preparatory activities in combination with agriculture, see main group 01
• Digestion of plants with vegetable textile fibres (jute, flax, coconut fibres, etc.) not in connection with the cultivation of vegetable textile fibres, see 01.630
