What 38.120 includes

• Collection of hazardous waste, e.g. waste containing explosive, oxidizing, flammable, toxic, irritating, carcinogenic, corrosive, infectious or other substances and preparations that are harmful to human health and the environment. The activity may also include identification, treatment, packaging and labelling of waste for transport purposes.
• Collection of hazardous waste, e.g.: • waste oil from ships and car workshops • paints and varnishes • biohazardous waste • hazardous waste of animal origin • radioactive nuclear waste • collection of expired medicines • used batteries
• Operation of hazardous waste transfer stations
• Operation of special landfills for the temporary storage of environmentally hazardous waste
• Collection of environmentally hazardous waste such as waste oils from ships and waste oils from car repair shops

• Collection of non-hazardous waste, see 38.110
• Operation of landfills for the disposal of hazardous waste and permanent storage of hazardous waste, see 38.322
