What 38.12.Z includes

• This subclass covers the collection of hazardous waste (e.g., explosive, oxidizing, flammable, toxic, irritant, harmful, carcinogenic, corrosive, infectious, and other substances) and substances harmful to human health and the environment. Activities may also include the identification, processing, packaging, and labeling of waste for transport.
• Collection of hazardous waste, for example: • Used oils from ships and repair shops, • Paints and varnishes, • Environmentally hazardous waste, • Hazardous waste of animal origin, • Radioactive waste, • Out-of-date pharmaceutical and medical products, • Old batteries.
• This subclass also covers transport if it is an integral part of waste collection.

What 38.12.Z excludes

• Collection of non-hazardous waste, classified in 38.11.Z,
• Disposal and storage of hazardous waste, classified in 38.32.Z,
• Decontamination and cleaning of contaminated buildings, mining sites, soil, and groundwater (e.g., asbestos removal), classified in 39.00.Z.
