What 64.211 includes

• Activities of financial holding companies, i.e. entities that manage the assets (own controlling equity) of one or more financial subsidiaries and whose sole function is to own subsidiaries. Holding companies in this sub-group do not provide any other service to the companies they own, i.e. they do not manage or operate other entities.
• Ownership of a controlling share of the share capital in subsidiaries operating in the financial sector, i.e. this code refers to holding companies/parent companies that do not conduct their own business nor provide services to the subsidiaries
• Ownership of a controlling share of the share capital in subsidiaries operating in the financial industry, i.e. this code refers to holding companies/parent companies that do not work with planning and decision-making regarding the subsidiaries' operations

What 64.211 excludes

• Activities in companies that are partners in other companies without having controlling interests in them, see 64.320
• Activities in financial markets on own account, see 64.99
• Asset management on a fee or contract basis, see 66.30
