What 61.10.1 includes

• Operation, maintenance, or provision of access to facilities for the transmission of voice, data, text, sound, and images over a wired telecommunications infrastructure, including: • Operation and maintenance of switching and transmission equipment for the provision of point-to-point communications over fixed-line networks or a combination of fixed-line and satellite links • Operation of cable distribution systems (e.g., for the distribution of data and television signals) with or without the provision of third-party video-on-demand services to customers • Provision of wired internet access by the infrastructure operator • Transmission of image, sound, or text programs received from cable networks, local television stations, or broadcasting networks to consumers via wired Internet Protocol Television / "Internet television" (the units classified here generally do not produce program material) • Provision of wired IP telephony (VoIP / voice transmission over the wired internet) by the infrastructure operator.
• The transmission equipment may based on one or more wired technologies.
