Description

1. Overview Industrial activities performed under contract or self-accounts, such as ground work including blasting, trial excavation, digging, and leveling for ground preparation; the new construction and installation of various buildings and structures on construction sites; and the expansion, reconstruction, renovation, repair, maintenance, and demolition of structures; this includes activities involving the installation of temporary buildings, prefabricated buildings, and structures. Such construction activities are carried out by contractors, self-employed contractors, general contractors, or specialized contractors. Even if construction activities are not performed directly, if a contractor assumes overall responsibility for a construction project and manages the entire project by awarding contracts or subcontracts for specific sectors, it is also considered a construction activity. Overall responsibility for a construction project and the activity of managing the entire project refer to cases where a contractor takes overall responsibility for and manages aspects related to the construction project, such as manpower, materials, equipment, funds, construction, quality, and safety management.
