What 64.3 includes

• This group encompasses the activities of legal entities (e.g., funds and trusts) that invest in securities or other financial assets on behalf of shareholders or beneficiaries without managing or administering them. Securities portfolios are constructed to achieve specific investment returns based on criteria such as diversification, risk, rate of return, and price volatility. These investment entities, which provide dividends and other property income, have little or no employment and generate little or no profit from the sale of their services.

What 64.3 excludes

• Activities of entities deriving revenue from the sale of goods or services, which are classified according to their principal activity in appropriate subclasses of other divisions (for example, in division 66 for fund management, in division 68 for real estate rental and operation, or in division 77 for ship or aircraft rental and leasing),
• Conducting securitization transactions through the issuance of financial instruments, classified in 64.92.B,
• Securitization transactions of assets other than loans and advances through the issuance of financial instruments, classified in 64.99.Z,
• Activities of trust accounts, real estate accounts, and agency accounts that derive revenue from the sale of goods or services, classified in appropriate subclasses of the classification according to their principal activity.
