What 08 includes

• This division includes the operation of mines and quarries also dredging of alluvial deposits, the meadows crushing of stones, and the management of salt. The products are used most notably in construction (e.g. Sands, stones), as well as for the production of materials (e.g. clay, gypsum, lime) and chemicals etc.

What 08 excludes

• This section does not include the processing (except crushing, grinding, cutting, washing, drying, sorting and mixing) of the extracted minerals, see section C.
