What 59.20.1 includes

• Activities of music publishers, i.e., the acquisition of rights to musical compositions and the exploitation of these rights on behalf of composers and lyricists (e.g., through direct licensing, licensing via collecting societies, and the publication of sheet music and music books). Music publishers manage the rights to the composition and lyrics of musical works, but not the rights to the sound recordings themselves. The entities carrying out these activities can be either the rights holders themselves or rights managers authorized by them.
