What 59.20.3 includes

• Activities of record labels, i.e., acquiring rights to sound recordings and publishing and distributing sound recordings to wholesalers and retailers or directly to customers, in both physical and digital form. Labels assume organizational and economic responsibility for the production, marketing, and distribution of sound recordings. These activities can be carried out by the same entity that makes the master recordings. If this is not the case, the entity performing these activities must obtain the rights for the reproduction and distribution of the original recordings.

• Duplication of music or other sound recordings from master tapes, see 18.20.0
