What 74.11.1 includes

• Industrial and product design, which is also carried out with the aid of special software, i.e., the design and development of designs and specifications that improve the use, value, packaging, and appearance of products, including the determination of materials, construction, mechanism, shape, color, and surface finish of products, taking into account human characteristics and needs, safety, market appeal, and the efficiency of production, distribution, use, and maintenance: • Design of technical and electrotechnical apparatus, machinery, and tools • Design of vehicles, transportation, and means of transport • Design of medical devices and aids

• Design and programming of websites, see 62.10.1
• Engineering design, i.e., the application of physical laws and engineering principles in the construction of machines, materials, instruments, structures, processes, and systems, see 71.12
