What 38.213 includes

• Dismantling of ships and boats and other discarded equipment such as non-electric hand and garden tools for material recycling
• Dismantling of other discarded equipment (excluding cars, electrical or electronic waste), for further processing at shredding companies

What 38.213 excludes

• Production of new end products from recycled raw materials (whether or not self-produced), e.g. spinning yarn from torn rags, manufacturing pulp from recycled paper, retreading tires or manufacturing metal from scrap metal, see the corresponding subgroups in section C
• Reprocessing of nuclear fuel, see 20.13
• Remelting of plastics to produce granules or compounds, see 20.16
