What 38.21.1 includes

• This subclass encompasses the dismantling of all types of wrecks and other scrap materials for material recovery.
• Mechanical crushing and shredding of metal waste (e.g., used cars, washing machines, or motorcycles)
• Mechanical crushing of large iron products (e.g., ships, railway carriages)

What 38.21.1 excludes

• Manufacture of new end products from secondary raw materials (including self-manufactured products), see corresponding classes in Section C
• Remelting of plastics for the production of granules or compounds, see 20.16.0
