What 38.215 includes

• Recycling of hazardous waste, e.g. waste containing explosive, oxidizing, flammable, toxic, irritating, carcinogenic, corrosive, infectious or other substances and preparations that are harmful to human health and the environment.

What 38.215 excludes

• Production of new end products from recycled raw materials (whether or not self-produced), e.g. spinning yarn from torn rags, manufacturing pulp from recycled paper, retreading tires or manufacturing metal from scrap metal, see the corresponding subgroups in C
• Reprocessing of nuclear fuel, see 20.13
• Disposal of waste without recycling and treatment before disposal, see 38.3
• Wholesale of recyclable materials, see 46.87
