What Q includes

• This section covers education and instruction at all levels and for all professions. Instruction can be given orally or in writing, via radio, television, the internet, or as a distance learning course.
• Activities in the field of education and instruction are those that involve an educational program, a timeframe, and an assessment of the knowledge acquired.
• This section includes initial education at its various levels, offered by the different institutions of the regular school system, intended to serve as a continuous educational pathway for pupils before their first entry into the labor market, as well as formal education outside the regular school system, whose program content and qualifications are equivalent to initial education (adult education, literacy programs, etc.).
• Also included are activities offered by military schools and academies, prison schools, etc., at their respective levels.
• This section covers compulsory and optional schooling, as well as public and private education.
• Groups 85.1 to 85.4 take into account formal educational offerings according to the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED-P 2011). Consequently, the breakdown of categories in this section is based on the level of education defined by the levels of ISCED-P 2011*. The activities of educational establishments offering Level 0 (ISCED-P 2011) programs are classified in class 85.10; those of Level 1 (ISCED-P 2011) in subclass 85.20.0; those of Level 2, category 24 (ISCED-P 2011); and those of Level 3, category 34 (ISCED-P 2011) in class 85.31. Those of Level 2 Category 25 (ISCED-P 2011) and those of Level 3 Category 35 (ISCED-P 2011) in Subclass 85.32.0; those of Level 4 (ISCED-P 2011) in Class 85.33 and those of Levels 5 to 8 (ISCED-P 2011) in Group 85.4.
• Educational institutions in Groups 85.2 to 85.4 are authorized to certify the successful completion of an educational program, usually in the form of a document officially recognized by the relevant national education authorities.

• This section also takes into account the distinction between formal and non-formal educational programs as provided for in the European Classification of Learning Activities (CLA). Therefore, in groups 85.5 and 85.6, it also includes non-formal education primarily concerned with sport, arts, and leisure activities, as well as educational and instructional services. This section also covers educational activities carried out by self-employed/self-employed/individual/independent instructors (tutors, academics, trainers); these activities are assigned to group 85.5. Furthermore, this section includes activities related to the administration, control, operation, or support of schools and other educational institutions, as well as the coordination of sports programs.
