What 64 includes

• This department encompasses the receiving and provision of funds that are not intended for the financing of insurance companies, pension funds and schemes, or statutory social security.
• This division also includes the holding of financial assets (such as the activities of holding companies and financing conduits, and the activities of trusts and other funds, as well as similar financial institutions), which, according to the WZ principle for recording economic output, are not considered activities. Entities assigned to groups 64.2 and 64.3 generally do not have income from the sale of products and do not employ staff (see sections xx– of the introduction); they are included in the WZ to facilitate the classification of entities in statistical business registers.

What 64 excludes

• This division does not include the activities of agencies promoting economic development through long-term investment at the local, regional and national levels, provided they serve the State in fulfilling its mandate for the common good, see 84.130.
