What 10 includes

• This section encompasses the processing of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products into food and feed, as well as the production of various intermediate products that are not directly food or feed. This activity often generates by-products of varying value (for example, hides from slaughtering or oilcake from oil production).
• This section is categorized according to activities related to different types of products: meat, fish, fruits and vegetables, fats and oils, dairy products, milled grain products, animal feed, and other foodstuffs. Production can be carried out for one's own account or for third parties, such as in contract slaughtering.
• Some activities are considered manufacturing even if the producing unit also sells the goods on a retail basis in its own shop (for example, activities carried out by bakeries, confectioneries, and butcher shops, etc., that sell their own products). However, if the activity involves minimal processing that does not result in a true transformation, the unit is classified under Section G.
• This division also includes the production of fluids, which are considered to be food or for similar manufacturing processes are used (e.g., milk and fruit juices or concentrates).
