What 10 includes
- This Industry Division includes the processing of the products of agriculture, forestry and fishing into food and drink for humans or animals.
- Some producers who both produce and retail their products in their own shop are also considered
- Under manufacturing sector (for example, those performed in bakeries, pastry shops, and prepared meat shops etc. which sell their own production). However, where the food processing is minimal and does not lead to a real transformation into new food product, the unit is classified to wholesale and retail trade under Industry Section G.
- Production of animal feeds from slaughter waste or by-products is classified in Industry Class 1080, while processing food and beverage waste into secondary raw material is classified to Industry Class 3839 under Industry Section E (Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities), and disposal of food and beverage waste to Industry Class 3821 also under Industry Section E.
